2022
After finishing my Masters, I decided I wanted to expand my breadth of experience to something completely different. Having worked with the University of Aberdeen before, I decided to take up a role as a Communications Coordinator - as I have always wanted to get into project coordination and production.
In this role, I support various projects as a bit of a swiss army knife - supporting Communications Officers in many different ways. I sometimes take charge of the social media accounts of the University, with hundreds of thousands of followers, creating video content. Other times I may give direction on design work for branding. Other times I may be communicating with the press and liaising with specialists. I am in charge of media monitoring and relaying this via reports to team members. I also manage the internal staff newsletter - creating digestible stories for the entire University of over 9000 staff members. I am sometimes tasked with updating the University's website using their CMS.
Be it supporting live events or larger projects, I have already learned so much in this role and I cannot wait to develop my skills further.
2021
I embarked on a Masters of Music specialising in Sonic Arts, learning about spatial audio, ambisonics, sound design in video games and the psychoacoustics of how we listen. I received a distinction. You can view my video game audio portfolio by clicking the link in my menu bar.
I started mastering music for labels and artists more as I managed to get better monitors and room treatment. With over 250 tracks mastered now and many happy reviews, I plan to keep up the pace! It's highly enjoyable and rewarding. You can check out

2020
I won the Carlaw-Ogston composition prize, receiving the grand prize of a £1000 commission.
I graduated with a 1st Class Honours from the University of Aberdeen, in Community Music BMus (Hons). I am progressing a Music MMus, specialising on Sonic Arts.
MELD has released another successful EP by Bolam featuring LWS and Sputnik One in February. The third release is scheduled for July/August
Solo vinyl release was released in September by "Childsplay"
As part of my course, I worked with Station House Media Unit to deliver digital music workshops with their Youth Media Group - children ranging from ages 12-18.
2019
I conducted a strategic digital review for the University of Aberdeen Development Trust - the fundraising arm of the University. I was tasked with: restructuring and optimizing their current website, designing a new website to attract new donors, logo development, social media management, brand development, and overall creative direction.
I continued my passions by producing, playing, and composing music.
I developed the music label arm of Meld Records Ltd.
2018
I grew Meld into a strong podcast, collective, and party series. Total tickets sold approaching 4000. I focussed on bringing people with a passion for music together and moved away from gimmicks. I booked rising international artists – SONS, Kettama (Scottish Debut), Hodge, K-Hand, Raito (Scottish Debut), Ejeca, West End Communications, DJCJ, Kyle WEC, Ludgate Squatter, Highfield Casuals.
I took part in a summer internship with the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention. NAFCo is a cultural music festival that was first established in 2001. It is a large scale festival over a week, with hundreds of artists, gigs, and activities, and a huge economic impact on Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. Duties included: artist transport logistics, venue management, website maintenance, promotional media development, social media promotional strategy development, graphic design
I completed a placement with Sound Festival, an experimental music festival, that had people making music with a cactus. and music influenced by accordions that span the whole room. I was in charge of organising a tour of viola players around the Aberdeenshire area. I also helped with artist logistics and venue setup.
